This spring has been a wild ride, and frankly it's not a ride I want to be on.

After my last post, I got called back for a secondary mammogram. After that I was next called in for a biopsy. Talk about anxiety through the freakin' roof. Freezing had to be redone as the first bunch did not take and I felt the scalpel and felt the first sample being taken. Not fun. Ten more samples later and some vomit inducing worry, I found out that I have breast cancer. Caught early but it's still there and it's Grade 3 which is aggressive. It's non-invasive which is good. After more tests, I found out that my lymph nodes are behaving; which is excellent news. I had my MRI with contrast this week, and will go back next week to talk to the surgeon about my results and talk about surgery. So far it's looking like a lumpectomy but I don't know if radiation will be in the cards or not. I am just taking things one appointment at a time. No sense in worrying until it's time to worry.

Tomorrow to get our minds off of stuff, we are going to Grandad's Donuts in Hamilton and then down to the Pier to watch roller-skaters. It will be nice to get out of the house, have a treat and enjoy the DJ.

Other than this weekend being a long weekend, nothing exciting is planned. It's too cold outside. We will take the dog for his daily hike (get our stupid exercise for our stupid mental health) and just try to catch up on puttering around the house.

 Holy!! I haven't opened Blogger in 5 months. I have had good intentions but life got in the way here.

The week after I last blogged I lost my job. Came out of the blue but in hindsight they did me a favor as I don't have to put up with the office drama anymore. Good riddance. There was some trouble getting my Record of Employment from them but the government stepped in on my behalf and put pressure on them to supply the document so I could get Unemployment Insurance. That process took four months but at least now I can pay my bills.

In December I got hit with a nasty flu. That germ-fest lasted the entire month and just when I was starting to feel a bit better I got hit with a nasty cold. After a month, I went to the doctor and got some meds as the germs had morphed into a chest infection and sinus infection. I love that for me. LOL. Its only been the last two weeks that I have been feeling human.

I have been busy with mammogram appointments recently. They have found something so they are sending me for a biopsy in April to rule out anything scary. When they first called me I had a full on panic attack just out of fear I think. I'm more rational about it now but it was sure a shocker to get that call. Hubby is taking me to the appointment so I will have a calm head and some support. Wish me luck!

Last weekend me and a friend got out and went to the Royal Botanical Gardens to see the Wizard in Bloom exhibit. 

It was a cold and windy day but it was so nice to be inside enjoying all the color and whimsy. After the RBD, we went across the street to have a footlong hotdog at one of the cities landmarks, Easterbrooks. I don't know what I expected but I wasn't expecting a wee trailer. LOL. For dessert we headed up the mountain to grab some Krispy Kreme donuts. Those did not last long at all. All in all it was a fun day.

This weekend we are staying home and just trying to catch up on stuff we've been putting off for whatever reason.
