It's super cold and blustery here. Honestly I am super over winter and all it's chilly bullshit. Looking forward to spring. I need to see green grass and be outside where my snot doesn't instantly freeze.
It has been the week that seemed like it would never end. Considering it was a short work week because of the holiday. The best part of the week was getting out for a burger with friends and then wandering around the dollar store afterwards. Two hours of peace and quiet in the soul. These girls make everything lighter. They don't realize how much they mean to me; but they are absolute gems.
Mostly this week has been work. I'm coming up to the tail end of a project i have been working on since the beginning of the New Year. It should be done by the end of February. Fingers crossed...legs too... 😝 The days have been dragging because it is super tedious work but it gives me huge pride that I managed to slog through and the boss noticed. (pats self on back).
Our wedding anniversary was yesterday! Hard to believe this was 28 years ago!
I was hoping to get the income taxes done this weekend but caught a huge mistake on my husband's T4RIF, so now we have to wait and get that amended before I can continue. We also have to wait for one more tax receipt from Dofasco and they are always the one we have to wait on. We will be lucky if we see it by mid-March. Makes us nuts. This is the first full year after hubby retired, so this tax year will be a shit show. Hoping we don't get nailed too badly. Every year for the last 5 years, we've had to pay in. I'd like an actual refund for a change.
That's it for now. I'm going to putter a bit in the kitchen and catch up on laundry. Till next time...
